"Credits" - from "News from Heaven" (Download)
Cue from the London Film Academy's "News From Heaven" (2005). The cue develops the news jingle heard throughout the film.

"Earth Exfolitated" - generic Sci-Fi cue (Download)
Picture this scenario: Mankind has destroyed Earth and a few unmanned spaceships carry the remaining plants and animals in an orbit around the rings of Saturn.

'In the Mine' (excerpt from 'Pobby and Dingan') (Download)
A boy searches a collapsed mine for his sister's imaginary friends Pobby and Dingan. To his surprise, he finds traces and eventually discovers two actual bodies under the gravel.

'La Nic' ('At Nic's') (Download)
Credits for Patrcia Radoi's short film 'La Nic'. ©2004 LFS

'Walk of Life' (Download)
'Pixar'-style animated short film. A little dog gets hit by a car and is then miraculously re-animated by its owner.

'Mother' - 'I live upstairs' (2006) (Download)
I have worked on two films with animator Christoph Steger, and we collaborate very well: basically, he'll throw his film at me (or some draft thereof), tell me what he thinks should happen musically and then leave me in peace until I've composed everything. Lots of trust there! Well, he felt this cue was to empathetic for the final film, but we recorded it anyway. It would hve accompanied 'mother' - a funeral home director living alone above her funeral home - explaining how she lives upstairs, looking after the dead...

'Mother' - 'Closing Title' (2006) (Download)
We had the rare privilege to have a budget for a live session at the RCM Studios. Ben Stevens (cello), Lloyd Stringer (alto flute) and Tim Short (piano), breathed live into the score for 'Mother'.

M22 from "The Sandpiper" (2006) (Download)
This little cue was the last one I composed. Claudia (the director) wanted something quirky, funny, perhaps Mancini-esque for a small montage sequence towards the end of the film.

M14 from "The Sandpiper" (2006) (Download)
Covering numerous transitions - this one bridges a whole year between two summers -, I was able to play around with all the motives a lot. Notice the 'Christmas' permutation of the theme in the glockenspiel :-)

Opening Sequence - "Galapagos" Documentary (Download)
I composed and programmed this in late July as a competition entry for the BBC. I was given a 3-min clip of a natural history programme on Galapagos, featuring stunning vistas and amazing footage of Galapagos' exotic fauna. My aim was to emulate an orchestral sound - solely with Logic Pro -, to establish key characters and themes and to biuld up to the title card on the final downbeat of the cue.

M21A+B from "The Sandpiper" (2006) (Download)
I will always be greatful to Claudia for leaving this one in! The long sequence shows our main characters' relationship take a whole new turn on the last night of summer on Cape Cod... the daemons of lust and temptation are out...
