Q:How did you get started in your business?
A:Black Wa$p founder and members have been involved in entertainment/music at some level since grade school. This may stem from growing up in Motown, where music/entertainment is a part of your very being.
Q:What is the experience or education of the staff?
A:Black Wa$p founder- Kenyatta Hudson has a BA in English, and a MA in Philosophy; also Passport Member of Berklee Music since 2003.
Q:Describe your business equipment or setup. If you have a sound studio, what equipment do you use?
A:Black Wa$p has professional relationships with several studios in & around Detroit with Industry Standard Recording equipment with both Private & Commercial Facilities. We can accommodate any recording experience.
Q:Who are some of your clients?
A:Black Wa$p has provided Entertainment for The NAACP's College and Youth Division- 2004 "...Rap The Vote..." Campaign. Black Wa$p also participated in managing the Entertainment Segment of The City of Detroit's Department of Election's 2004 Vote:Embrace The Power of Youth Campaign.

Black Wa$p Artist Confidence, Ratt, and Showtyme performed for Sony Urban Music and Interscope on Veterans Day @ an open call to perform and submit demos for a Major Recording Deal. This event was hosted by Detroit's own Ulysses who is currently internig for Sony Music(A&R Department/and Interscope's Marketing Dept.) All members of Black Wa$p would like to thank the staff and venue for a receptive response to our sound. Barbara Herard Talk Show Host for -Making It Happen/Take Action- has invited Black Wa$p Artist Ratt to perform his Vote Song @ the Live Telecast of her show @ 2:30pm October 30, 2004. Tune in to watch/hear Ratt Take Action to Move more souls to the polls this year to Vote!!!

On October 24, 2004 Black Wa$p Artist Confidence, Ratt, Showtyme, Mackadamion, Metaphysic, and Mel Mallenium and others to be named hereafter performed for Pretty People Productions & Detroit Entertainment Network @ a Networking Event for Independent Film Makers from the Midwest in paticular Motown. The night kicked off with welcomes from the hosts Lisa Oullette-Actress, Heather Johnson-Host of For My People on UPN, Shanon Black-Actor/Host/Director of DNO. Once all in attendance settled in with Food and Spirits, a discussion and Q&A took place with Screen Writer- Robert J. Fox; Followed by phenomenal trailers by Vigilant Pictures- Shawn Woodard and Marcus Canty for their film R.I.C.C.O./and new film Reservations for Death. Romer Randolph's trailer for The Half Dead showed promise of great Box Office numbers as viewers sat on the edge of their seat through each scene!
Bring on the Entertainment was the call from Shannon Black as those in attendance were moved by the harmonically sensual sounds of Steph J./ The ballad stance presented by Rafi/ Followed by the crunk crowd moving sounds of Black Wa$p- The party was definitely @ Mr. Hunter's Clubhouse.
The Entertainment in the aforementioned was sponsored/presented by Tubby Entertainment-Lawrence Tubbs & Mike Yopp(Rafi) Starks Management-Herman Starks(Black Wa$p/Caution-Steph J. & Monet). The entertainment segment was capped off with a hillarious presentation by Leslie Love.
At the close of the entertainment Gabrielle Jones-Pretty People Productions & Promotions introduced the rest of her team who contributed to making this a phenomenal coming out party for Independent Filmakers in and around the MetroDetoit Area. Black Wa$p would like to say thanks to all involved and give mention that Detroit is definitely building the future for filmaking and entertainment!
