Q:Tell us about your act, music style, and brief history, including band members and what instruments they play.
A:After graduating from Berklee College of Music, I moved to Nashville from Boston, collaborating with some of the "greats" of the songwriting industry. I have been staff writer for Maypop Music Group, have had material signed to Sony/Tree Publishing, and currently have songs included in the catalogues of Zomba Enterprises and Pride Music Group/Warner Chappell Music. I am especially proud of my long-term cowriting relationship with award-winning/platinum-selling lyricist Don Pfrimmer. My music has been described by listeners as: "a rare, hauntingly beautiful blend of joy & angst" and also as "highlighting lyrical imagery and emotional delivery, probing the soul and giving answers." My producer Richard Adler(Allison Krauss,Marty Stuart, Doc Watson, Natalie Cole) describes me as "a singer-songwriter with intensely personal lyrics, showcased with exciting arrangements that never detract from her message." TAXI listeners have referred to my voice as "compelling" and "winning". GARAGEBAND listeners have referred to my music and voice as having "lots of character". Additionally, one reviewer observed: "..her ringing voice and lyrics reflect an integrity rare with music of this nature...no pretenses or falsely sentimental fillers--just well-crafted songs with interesting melodies". Q:What are you working on now?
A:I am currently working on material for an upcoming CD, as well as actively promoting my current CD, "Seven Songs", and tickled to death to have been invited to appear on Shut Eye Records' "The United State of Americana" which is blasting its way throughout roots and americana radio!
