Q:Tell us about your act, music style, and brief history, including band members and what instruments they play. A:I took seriously to music when I was 19 rooting mainly from the desire to express myself through songwriting. In this process, I found a love of many musical styles ranging from Blues to Brazilian music. Intention is what's it's all about for me. I want my music and the musicians I play with to be focused on going deep with the music...using it as a tool to aid in people's own transformational process.
Q:What have been some important gigs or venues you've played? A:Well, when I first started out in my young 20s I played a few jazz clubs and was even part of a jazz ensemble that performed at Benoroya Hall in Seattle. Since then, I've been really honing in to what I want to focus on. Doing a lot of composing, and starting to get back into performing via regional open mics.
Q:What are you working on now? A:I'm working on an acoustic self-released album right now which I plan to have finished this fall. It is a combination of some originals and some covers. The instrumentation is more or less singer-songwriter with guitar and some harmony vocals interweaved in them.
Q:What kind of people or opportunities are you hoping to find on Berkleemusic? A:Networking, planting seeds for the present and future.
