Roberto Aramburu, at the age of 5 exhibited his interest in music by actively participating in his kindergarten music lessons. When his family realized his natural passion for music, he began guitar private studies. Before his 12 years, Roberto won two National Classical Guitar Contest and his professional career started successfully. As early as his 15th birthday he achieved his first Guitar, Theory & Solfege Teacher certificate and an indisputable reputation as a young talent performer. During his teenager period he explored and enjoyed popular music, performed, arranged and composed music for several rock-pop bands as well as chamber music.
Roberto earned his first Bachelor degree in Music Performance before his 22 years old and got two national music scholarships. At the same time, he started to take private lessons in composition, arrangements, and improvisation with top-notch teachers from Royal Academy of Music, (UK), GIT, (USA) etc. Besides he performed in different jazz, tango, and contemporary music ensembles.
His guitar compositions have been performed throughout main cities in USA, Europe and Latin America.
In parallel, he has always been deeply involved in Music Education, working as a Music Coordinator, Director of Rock and Pop ensembles, and as an arranger for several prestigious schools and private music institutes. As a consequence, he decided to complement his education by getting a second Bachelor degree in Music Education.
As Roberto interests grew with his artistry in the music production area, he participated and contributed in several media projects as a composer-producer for commercial music, jingles, theatre music, sound designer and as a recording engineering assistant in recording and voice over sessions. For that reason, he was trained in Digital Audio Workstations Mac/PC, Pro Tools 7 (Operator level), Digital Performer 5, Cubase 4, Nuendo 4, Logic Pro 7, Live 7, Garageband 3, Soundtrack Pro 2, Sonar 7, Acid 6, Komplete 5 by NI, Waves Platinum, Reason 4, IK Multimedia products, Csound, and Max/MSP. After the evaluation of music scores he was accepted to enter the Masters in Music Design for the Moving Image, Bournemouth, UK (1999) and the Masters of Music in Media Writing and Production, University of Miami, USA, (2002). Roberto Aramburu earned his M.M. in Music Technology (Summa Cum Laude, GPA: 4.0) in 2006 from FIU (Florida International University).
Actually he is working at IK Multimedia as Tech Support Supervisor. In fact, this position covers 5 different professional areas such as Support Lead, Test Lead, Technical Writer/Content Developer, US Product Specialist, and Researcher.
