Les Blachut Born in Poland. Graduated from Berklee twice: (Dual Major) Jazz Performance and Music Education, and from International Academy of Arts & Science: Associated Master of Arts in Performing Arts & Composition. Les traveled Europe, Canada, Caribbean Islands, and East Coast USA performing, recording, composing and producing music and teaching instrumental and classroom music. Former member of Brampton Symphony Orchestra, Silesia University Theater, International Musicians in Space, and Microtonal Society. For the past ten years Les has been Music Teacher at St. Jude School in Boca Raton, and Music Director for St. George Church in Fort Lauderdale. He has been lending his expertise to the Billboard Songwriting Competition and the US Songwriting Competition. He is also associated with the Miami School of Audio Engineering (SAE), Broward Community College (BCC), and Piano Showcase, Inc. Les is known to provide Music Entertainment in many of South Florida's establishments. He can be heard with professional Blues/R&B groups, big-bands, jazz combos, steel bands, concert-hall ensembles, music theaters, duos, trios, and many more... In his musical career Les performed and recorded with a diverse group of popular entertainers, innovators of experimental music, and numerous jazz artists. Les Blachut is currently performing with Thrio (with John Hayman and Paul Legrande - Berklee Alumni in FL), Raquel Williams www.raquelwilliams.com, Blues Therapy www.bluestherapy.com, Jazz Survivors, Miami World Percussion Orchestra, George DeCarlos Big Band, St. George Gospel Project, and Ethni-City. A new recording session is under way (listen to samples in the MP3 section). Les is also on the judging panel for the US Songwriting Competition.
